Complimentary Eyesight screening (Fr 3yo)

Check if you or your child passes the distance eyesight screening. Further testing may be indicated if you fail the eyesight screening.

Photorefraction to check young children to asses for risks of Myopia, Astigmatism, Hyperopia, Lazy Eyes. Recommended for parents who have myopia or children who are always on gadgets. Suitable for children who does not know letters or have weak verbal abilities.

Myopia Control Program

Our myopia control program is a specialized intervention designed to slow down the progression of myopia, also known as nearsightedness, in children. Myopia occurs when the eyeball becomes too long, causing light to focus in front of the retina, resulting in blurred distance vision. High levels of myopia can increase the risk of structural issues such as retinal disorders, glaucoma, and cataracts.

A comprehensive eye examination is essential for the care and development of children with special needs. However, traditional examination methods can be challenging or impossible for children who are unable to sit still, communicate verbally, or control their neck muscles.

Learning Related Vision Screening (40min)

Short screening to check for red flags in the Learning Related Visual Skills. Recommended for children who are struggling to learn or has been diagnosed with Dyslexia, ADHD, DCD, ASD.
Visual Efficiency/Functional Vision Assessment

Visual Efficiency/Functional Vision Assessment (60-80min)

Visual efficiency in learning refers to the ability to effectively process and understand information presented in a visual format. It encompasses visual-motor skills such as eye tracking, eye teaming, and eye focusing, which enable individuals to quickly and accurately interpret visual stimuli such as text in a passage, to facilitate effective learning and knowledge retention.

Visual Perceptual Skills Assessment (80min)

Visual perceptual skills are a set of complex abilities that enable individuals to make sense of “what they see”. The Visual Perceptual skills assessment is performed in addition to the Visual Efficiency (“how the eyes move”) as part of a comprehensive exam to determine the performance of an individual’s visual system.

Brain Injury Vision Assessment (60-80min)

Following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or concussion, communication between the eyes and the brain can be interrupted, resulting in visual dysfunctions in up to 90% of patients.
