Our myopia control program is a specialized intervention designed to slow down the progression of myopia, also known as nearsightedness, in children. Myopia occurs when the eyeball becomes too long, causing light to focus in front of the retina, resulting in blurred distance vision. High levels of myopia can increase the risk of structural issues such as retinal disorders, glaucoma, and cataracts.

Visual efficiency in learning refers to the ability to effectively process and understand information presented in a visual format. It encompasses visual-motor skills such as eye tracking, eye teaming, and eye focusing, which enable individuals to quickly and accurately interpret visual stimuli such as text in a passage, to facilitate effective learning and knowledge retention.

The Visual Perceptual skills assessment is performed in addition to the Visual Efficiency (“how the eyes move”) as part of a comprehensive exam to determine the performance of an individual’s visual system.
